Statement

This drawing is one of a series intended to translate into drawing the lived experience of psychiatric hospital architecture's agentivity on body and mind of patients. 

Bio

After studying drawing and painting at Beaux-Arts in Paris, Courier produced visual and media arts projects for the performing arts stage. Her large-format drawing environments have received several awards and have been exhibited in Europe, the Middle East and Canada. She completed a research-creation program at the Doctorate in Arts Studies and Practices (UQAM, 2022). She explored the relationships between drawing gestures, current journeys of exile and micropolitical emergences. Her research has been presented at several international conferences & colloquia. She has developed it in the context of specialized articles, published by scientific journals dedicated to contemporary drawing and research in art education.
