Statement

This work began as a digital drawing and was rendered physically through CNC. An abstracted hourglass marks time's passage, while a looping lasso reflects the persistent effort to hold it. The process becomes a translation of lived experience, where drawing traces our ongoing attempt to keep what inevitably slips away. 

Bio

Kara Beth Rasure is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores contemporary life, time, and existential questions through material and digital processes. She teaches Comprehensive Design at Indiana University Bloomington.
