The book, edited by Professor Christoph Barmeyer and Dr Constanze Ruesga Rath of the University of Passau, has recently been honoured with the European Academy of Management (EURAM) Best Book Award 2025.
Each year EURAM allocates a series of awards and grants designed to recognise and foster excellence in management research and education across Europe and beyond. These prestigious awards celebrate outstanding contributions to the field of management, honouring scholars who have demonstrated exceptional innovation, rigor, and impact in their work.
The publication brings together in‑depth conversations with pioneering women whose research has significantly shaped the field of cross-cultural management. Through personal narratives, defining career moments, and reflections on global engagement, the book offers a rich exploration of how scholarly inquiry and lived experience intersect to advance a field that is both academically rigorous and socially impactful.
Aycan appears alongside an exceptional group of internationally renowned scholars, including Nancy J. Adler, Mary Yoko Brannen, Paula Caligiuri, Martha Maznevski, Joyce Osland, Sonja Sackmann, Susan C. Schneider, and Lena Zander, among others who have played foundational roles in developing and expanding cross-cultural management worldwide.
