Loughborough Business School students recognised at Placement and Internship Awards

Faith Swiss-Ajiboye receives the Overall Postgraduate Internship Award from Professor Sam Grogan and Professor Rachel Thomson.

The annual Placement and Internships Awards, organised by the Careers Network, celebrate the outstanding achievements of students who have embraced placements, internships, and study exchanges as part of their Loughborough experience. These awards recognise not only the students’ accomplishments but also the positive impact they have made on businesses and organisations during their time away from campus.

At Loughborough Business School, we take pride in our strong track record of supporting students in these transformative opportunities. With dedicated teams providing expert guidance, over 80% of our Business students choose a four-year programme that includes a placement, a Year in Enterprise, a study exchange, or a combination of these options. These experiences are integral to developing the skills and confidence that set our graduates apart.

This year’s awards highlighted the exceptional success of our Business School students:

Faith Swiss-Ajiboye, winner of the Overall Postgraduate Internship Award, said: “I am incredibly honoured to receive this award. My Loughborough MBA provided the strategic framework, but the internship was where I could immediately apply that learning to real-world challenges, transforming theory into tangible impact.

"Communication, influence, strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making and entrepreneurial skills are among the top skills I gained. I am profoundly grateful for the steadfast support from the Business School faculty and the Careers team, which was instrumental in this success.”
