Loughborough Business School staff were named among those nominated for awards as nearly 200 colleagues came together to mark the fourth annual Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, one of the most prestigious events in the University calendar.

These awards recognise and celebrate members from our staff community who have achieved extraordinary things. Any colleague from across the University could submit a nomination, and this year almost 400 nominations were collected in total.

Among those nominated from the Business School were International Relations Administrator, Eduarda Castro and the team behind the InterAct Network research project.

Eduarda was nominated for an individual 'Global Community Award' in recognition of her exceptional work looking after incoming exchange students to Loughborough Business School. Eduarda has worked closely with the International Student Experience Team and other Student Services to ensure that students receive the best advice, guidance and experience during their time at Loughborough. She was also recognised as part of the Network of Networks team who won in the category of 'EDI Enhancement'.

The Loughborough Business School staff who co-led and supported the InterAct Network were shortlisted for the 'Impactful Research and Innovation Award'. Over the course of three years, InterAct has delivered a transformative research programme focused on supporting UK manufacturing with new human insights into the adoption of industrial digital technologies. As the only social science-led initiative in a traditionally engineering-dominated space, InterAct has redefined how digital transformation in manufacturing is understood and delivered.
