The UKRI Research Infrastructure for Conservation and Heritage Science (RICHeS) Innovation and Science Advisory Forum (ISAF) provides strategic advice to the RICHeS Senior Responsible Owner and Programme Board, helping to support innovation, collaboration and commercialisation across the UK’s heritage science sector.
RICHeS is a major UKRI investment worth £80 million, designed to strengthen the UK's research infrastructure for conservation and heritage science. The programme connects specialist facilities, collections, data services and expertise across the country, enabling researchers and heritage organisations to access world-class resources and capabilities. As a member of the Innovation and Science Advisory Forum, Dr Ruikar will provide strategic insight to support innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and the long-term development of the sector. The appointment will also enable her to contribute to shaping national priorities and maximising the impact of heritage science research and infrastructure investment.
Dr Ruikar’s research focuses on digital transformation, data-driven innovation, collaborative research ecosystems and the application of emerging technologies to address complex societal challenges. Through its focus on connecting people, infrastructure, data and expertise across disciplines, RICHeS aims to create new opportunities for innovation and knowledge exchange.
