Submission information

Authors whose work is accepted for WSCG 2024 will be Invited to provide an oral presentation, flash talk or poster summarising their research. Accepted papers and recordings of presentations will be made available through various repositories and portals including the Golf Science website.

There will be two phases to the submission process.

Phase two

Paper submissions are invited for all themes and disciplines outlined in the scientific program. Conference papers must be prepared using the MS Word template available below; submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines are unlikely to be accepted. Once your paper is complete, it should be submitted before the deadline by emailing it, in both Word and PDF formats, to wscg.2024@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk. PLEASE USE THIS EMAIL ADDRESS AND NOT THE ONE IN THE WORD DOCUMENT (there needs to be a dot between wscg and 2024).

Key dates for phase two are as follows:

  • 31 January 2024 – Conference paper submission deadline
  • March 2024 – Author notification of acceptance
  • April 2024 – Final conference paper deadline

Phase one - Closed

Authors of papers that fit the remit of both WSCG and ISEA conferences are encouraged to submit their work through the submission portal that has been setup for the ISEA conference. There will be several additional benefits of submitting during phase one: your work will be considered for the golf sessions that are shared with ISEA, accepted papers will be published in Engineering of Sport 15 (the conference proceedings of ISEA) and, if invited by the scientific committee, there will be an opportunity to submit a Research Article or Technical Note to the ISEA journal Sports Engineering.

Key dates for phase one are as follows:

  • 11 September 2023 – Conference paper submission deadline
  • October 2023 – Author notification of acceptance
  • January 2024 – Final conference paper deadline
  • January 2024 – Notification of Sports Engineering journal Topical Collection invitations
  • June 2024 – Sports Engineering journal ISEA 2024 Topical Collection manuscript deadline
