Delivered by Loughborough Business School through the UK Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Centre, this is the programme’s first appearance in the QS ranking.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL) was ranked first in the world for supply chain management. Loughborough’s programme was developed in collaboration with MIT CTL and draws on its world-leading approach to supply chain education.
The QS Business Master’s Rankings assess programmes across areas including employability, alumni outcomes, return on investment, academic and employer reputation, research impact, and student and faculty diversity.
Dr Cihan Butun, Programme Lead for MSc Supply Chain Management at Loughborough University, said:
“We are delighted to see Loughborough’s MSc Supply Chain Management ranked 65th in the world in its first appearance in the QS Business Master’s Rankings.
“This is an important milestone for our programme, launched just last year, and reflects the strength of the education and experience we are building at Loughborough. Our aim is to equip students with the analytical, strategic and leadership capabilities needed to address increasingly complex supply chain challenges.
“It is particularly significant to see MIT CTL ranked first in the world. Our collaboration with MIT and membership of the MIT Global SCALE Network give students access to an exceptional international learning community, combining Loughborough’s academic and industry expertise with a truly global perspective.”
The MSc Supply Chain Management combines academic study with practical, industry-focused learning. Students can develop specialist expertise through Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain Analytics pathways while working on real-world challenges through a year-long industry Capstone project.
As part of the programme, students also take part in the three-week SCALE Connect residential at MIT in Boston, learning alongside students from across the Global SCALE Network. Graduates receive an MSc from Loughborough University and a Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate from MIT SCALE, as well as gaining MIT Associate Alumni status.
The programme has also received accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), providing an additional mark of professional recognition.
