Safety and Human Factors
The University's Transport Safety Research Centre is one of the UK's largest transport safety groups.
The Centre is home to more than 30 researchers whose expertise spans human factors, engineering, psychology, medicine and health sciences, education and social science.
Their research focuses on a range of topics including advanced vehicle and road-based safety systems; the impact of road user behaviour on safety and mobility; mobility and inclusivity issues, relating to autonomous vehicles (AV); fatigue and fitness to drive.
