The University is home to the Globalization and World Cities (GaWC) research network, established in the mid-1990s

Focusing on the internal and externals flows, connections and networking of cities, GaWC is the internationally leading academic think tank on cities in globalisation.

Our urban and regional planning research examines the design of future cities and urban regions - and spans AI, digital planning and (transport) infrastructure.
