Loughborough Professor joins judging panel of competition that will accelerate the drive to net zero

Professor Chris Goodier joins a prestigious team of judges for the Construction Leadership Council’s Dragons’ Den style competition to drive environmental solutions.

Young construction industry professionals are called to submit their practical ideas to achieve net zero and the winners will see their solutions implemented on sites and in factories.

Chris is Director of the Centre for Innovative and Collaborative Construction Engineering (CICE) and Director of Doctoral Programmes in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough.

He joins the panel alongside:

  • Andrew Griffith MP – UK’s Net Zero Business Champion (Panel Chair)
  • Andy Mitchell – Co-chair Construction Leadership Council / CEO Thames Tideway
  • John Newcomb – CEO, Builders Merchants Federation
  • Adam Cane – Sustainability Lead, ACO Water Management

Professor Goodier said: “At Loughborough University we’re incredibly passionate about preparing students and young people for a successful career in construction.
