Experts to discuss how digitization will impact our future

InterAct will hold their annual conference at the beginning of October, aiming to discuss digitalization and how it can impact our future.

Thinkers and innovators are invited to attend the 2022 InterAct conference at IET London: Savoy Place,located on the Strand by Waterloo Bridge. The event will take place on Monday 3 October, starting at 9:00 and closing at 16:30.

Twelve leading experts will provide insights into the next stage of industrial evolution, as well as how it will shape our economy, manufacturing ecosystem, workplace.

Additionally, the experts will be analysing how digital technologies could be utilized in order to move beyond consumption driven economic growth.

The event will feature world-leading speakers sharing their unique perspectives on digital manufacturing, each coming from a wide range of background across industry, policy, and academia.

Speakers include Sean Culey (Futurist and author), Professor John Hart (Professor of Mechanical Engineering at MIT), Jason Southern (EMEA Head of Enterprise Software & Visualisation Segments at Nvidia), Verity Davidge (Director of Policy at Make UK), and more.

InterAct Co-director, and Dean of Loughborough’s School of Business and Economics, Professor Janet Godsell said: “We're delighted to be hosting the first InterAct Annual Conference this October, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in the future of manufacturing to get involved with shaping our vision for the coming years.

Attendees will be able to gain significant insight into the future manufacturing environment, learn more about the InterAct Network, as well as engage with big names from the world of academia within an interactive Q&A session.

Additionally, they may also take part in a collaborative workshop named “How do we create the digital manufacturing futures we want to see, together”.

As for who can attend, InterAct’s conference is open and inclusive to all individuals who are interested in manufacturing and want to work towards a brighter future, regardless of their background.

However, the main stakeholders that are encouraged to join are: economists, social scientists, manufacturers, industrial digital technologists, and policymakers.

The conference tickets are free to book and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis as tickets are close to selling out.
