More Loughborough medals in 4x100m relays

Richard Kilty and Daryll Neita added to Loughborough’s Olympic medal total by winning 4x100m relay silver and bronze.

The former Loughborough College learners both made the podium in the men’s and women's events respectively.

Kilty ran a storming third leg as Great Britain men’s team just missed out on gold by a hundredth of a second as Italy took victory on the line.

In the women’s event Loughborough College alumna Daryll Neita’s brilliant final leg helped Great Britain to an empathic bronze medal finish.

The race can be viewed on the BBC Sport website HERE.

Loughborough-linked athletes have now won a total of fourteen medals at the Olympic Games – three golds, six silvers, and five bronze medals.
