Profile
Professor Paula Griffiths’ research is centred on inequalities in maternal and child health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries and on community-based strategies to improve wellbeing through nutrition and health. As a social scientist, Paula brings expertise in understanding how social and cultural contexts influence behaviour and the uptake of health interventions, particularly in resource-poor settings. Alongside Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, she has appeared as a guest on the Experts in Sport podcast to discuss global challenges in child health and nutrition and research projects in countries including Kenya and Peru.
