Dr Stefania Sansoni

Stefania Sansoni is a new lecturer in the SDCA and EDI Champion, teaching on a Graphics course, pioneering a new type of module. Stefania framed the Design Research Module as a transdisciplinary chance for students to build their Net Zero understandings. The module’s innovative structure revolves around the cohort of 160 students all undertaking primary qualitative and quantitative research about local sustainability problems.

Victoria Wright

Victoria is a true catalyst for change in the realm of education for sustainability. As the founder and driving force behind the Education for Sustainability Community of Practice, she has transformed a once non-existent initiative into a vibrant, impactful, and deeply valued community. Thanks to Victoria’s vision and dedication, we now have a rich repository of resources; ranging from curated articles and toolkits to podcasts and case studies that simply didn’t exist before.

Eleanor Braithwaite & The Technical Sustainability Champions

Eleanor successfully advocated for Loughborough’s participation in the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF), securing funding and engaging technicians across departments. As co-founder of the technical sustainability group, she expanded technician networks, strengthened sustainable practices, and led audits for LEAF accreditation. The Technical Sustainability Champions (TSC) are a cross-campus group of technicians working to make Loughborough University’s laboratories and workshops more sustainable.
