Enhancing the Student Experience

For significant impact on the student experience across all aspects of their university life.

STEM Lab Technician Teaching Team

The team has responded directly to industry feedback and student voice, introducing new experiments across all years to address skills gaps. These changes have improved the relevance and quality of lab-based learning, ensuring students are better prepared for the workplace. The introduction of interdisciplinary labs has enhanced students’ ability to apply knowledge across contexts, a vital skill in today’s collaborative STEM industries.

Loughborough London’s Student Experience Team

Every student on the London Campus knows the Student Experience team, and the Student Experience team seem to know every student on the London Campus. Personally. As individuals. The team is unique across the institution, blending activities from community building and student wellbeing through to supporting academic engagement and providing an understanding and compassionate source of support for our students, most of whom are experiencing the UK for the first time.

The IMS Team

Loughborough University’s Intramural Sport (IMS) programme is an exceptional offer that has a significant positive impact on the student experience across all aspects of their university life. Due to our sporting strength and depth in numbers, each year thousands of students are unsuccessful in getting into our AU clubs to represent the University in African violet. Without IMS these students would have no competitive offer, and as we regularly hear they even question their choice of University as so many pick us to be a part of our sporting offer. This year, over 3000 students have participated in IMS. This is approximately 50% of students living in halls.
