Priti Meredith
Priti has been the driving force in establishing the Research Centre Manager Network. This University wide Network (formed in 2022) consists of colleagues who support the development and operation of the University's Research Centres to ensure they share common problems, learn from each other and advocate for the Centres. The Network is making a tangible difference to the University's research community, facilitating the advancement of their activity, and making their important work more prominent.
Angela Crawford
Angela worked as a project manager of the DECODE project (AI for multiple long-term conditions of people with learning disabilities) from 2022. Her dedicated and considerate project management enabled the research team in seven different institutions collaborate well and conduct high-quality and impactful research in a meaningful and ethical manner.
Dr Gareth Cole
Dr Gareth Cole has been nominated for their outstanding leadership and contribution to the Community-led Open Publication Infrastructures for Monographs (COPIM) project. Their visionary approach, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to open access publishing have significantly advanced the project’s goals and the broader mission of equitable knowledge dissemination. Notable achievements include the development of Thoth, an open metadata management system that enhances discoverability and interoperability.
The ‘Pint of Science’ Team
Their outstanding organizational leadership has not only established Loughborough as a national leader in research communication but has fundamentally changed how researchers like me engage with our work and community. The group offers researchers an opportunity to connect with the local community here in Loughborough, and provide a platform for developing skills in science communications.
