CEDARS

Its scope covers working conditions, support for career development, and other aspects of research culture – which helps us monitor progress against our ambitions.

PRES

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is a national survey that focuses on the experiences of doctoral and research master's students. It explores supervision, skills development, wellbeing, and more – offering vital insights into the research student environment. Loughborough runs PRES every two years as one of our key feedback tools to help ensure the views and needs of our doctoral researchers shape and inform our research culture activities.

Loughborough’s Staff Experience Survey

Open to all staff, this annual survey captures broader perspectives on our wider institutional culture, values, recognition and job satisfaction. It’s especially important for hearing from those who enable research but may not be covered by other surveys.
