CSM Director Reaches Citations Milestone

We are delighted to announce that CSM Director, Professor Thorsten Gruber, has recently reached a citations milestone – more than 10 000 citations on Google Scholar.

Professor Gruber’s three most cited articles focus on understanding the social media use of generation Y (Journal of Service Management, published in 2013, currently 1933 citations), expanding the understanding of service dominant logic (Journal of the Academy of Management Science, published in 2011, currently 1853 citations) and the role of service robots in the frontline (Journal of Service Management, published in 2018, currently 976 citations).

Further, as shown on Elsevier's SciVal citation list (containing information about the research performance of universities throughout the world), Professor Gruber is also the most cited researcher in the "business, management, and accounting" category at Loughborough University (Top 500 list, 2018-2021).  

Since starting as a Lecturer in Marketing at Manchester Business in 2006, Professor Gruber has published more than 150 journal articles, conference papers and book chapters. Professor Gruber’s current main research interests are service failure and recovery, service robotics and transformative service research. For his publications, he has collaborated with almost 100 colleagues from around the world.
