Professor Vicky Story obtained funding for a project exploring the benefits of a digital twin

Professor Vicky Story is part of a team that has been successful in obtaining funding for a 9-month project exploring the benefits of a digital twin for presenting potential customer journeys for future advanced services.

The project aims to: 1) take a customer-focused perspective to develop an in-depth understanding of the advanced service solution for two key market segments, and 2) use this understanding to design and build a prototype of a digital platform that maps the expected customer journey for these new services. This funding was secured from the Digitally Enhanced Advanced Services (DEAS) Network Plus call and is being undertaken in conjunction with colleagues at Loughborough (in the Loughborough Design School and Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering) and academics at Sheffield Hallam University, Northumbria University, Aston University and Alliance Manchester Business School.
