Research and expertise
I am a Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University, specialising in sustainable concrete techniques, structural analysis, microstructure, and durability of concrete. My research study primarily directed reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete, with a particular focus on the microstructure, transport mechanism, FEM and durability properties.
I hold Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering and Master of Science in Civil Engineering (by research).
Current research activity
- Microstructural behaviour of (reinforced) autoclaved aerated concrete
- Durability properties of (reinforced) autoclaved aerated concrete
- Dynamic behaviour of rubber incorporated concrete
Recently completed research projects
- Developing rubber incorporated concrete with the inclusion of nanomaterial
- The effect of geomatrical parameters on discharge capacity of piano key weirs
- A sustainable future for rubber incorporated concrete in Sri Lanka
