  • Manufacturing, Modelling and Architectural Support Technician

As a technician at LU-ARC with a background in furniture making and design, I facilitate architecture students in utilising both hand tools and a variety of machinery, including woodwork machinery, laser cutting, 3D printing, and CNC routing.

This comprehensive approach enables students to work with a wide range of materials such as wood, foam, plastics, metals, and card, expanding their creative possibilities. My role involves guiding the process of creating scale models, and offering practical support to bring their architectural visions to life. Collaborative sessions encourage exploration of design possibilities, resulting in high-quality outputs that showcase creativity and craftsmanship. By merging technology with traditional techniques, we empower students to master a range of digital and practical fabrication methods and excel in their projects.
