Profile

I graduated in civil engineering in 2013, I completed my master’s degree at Gazi University with focus on construction activities life cycle assessment, and since 2015 I have been practicing LCA in variety of subjects.

Increasing concerns about the climate change and sustainability is one of the main research topics within the academic society and industry. As a Civil Engineer, I work in sustainable construction activities which include working on sustainable materials, such as self-healing concrete, recycled concrete, and recycled construction and industrial materials.

The other important field in sustainability is the LCA method, which enables decision-makers and researchers to choose environmentally friendly and sustainable materials rather than inefficient materials. Since 2015 I have been working on life cycle assessment for my master’s degree. I worked on asphalt road life cycle assessment as well as some other construction materials such as recycled concrete, Bauxite residue concrete, bitumen, and GFRP, etc. I am also involved in teaching the LCA method at Gazi University for MA students. For my PhD thesis, I worked on Net Zero Energy Building design and simulation, and mostly on passive methods for the reduction of energy consumption in family buildings.
