Roles and expertise

I have over 15 years’ experience of geotechnical laboratory and field testing which I can pass on to students and researchers to aid in their projects. I am responsible for the geotechnics section of the laboratory which involves maintaining all equipment and delivering undergraduate lab classes. I also assist with the research and consultancy work of academics and have been nominated for awards for this.

Career profile

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2004 with a degree in Forensic Engineering. Prior to starting at Loughborough university in 2013 my working career has taken me from testing in a quarry with Tarmac to testing and monitoring ground works in the UK and Ireland on a variety of projects from everyday roads, embankments, dams housing and industrial units to bespoke football stadium, airports and power stations.
