I am a technician with 31 years’ experience in various areas within the school of ABCE.
I am involved in the set up and use of AV equipment for lectures and presentations, videoing & photos of events.
I am a qualified forklift driver, DSE Assessor and Responsible for the school’s asset listings and inventory audit for insurance purposes. Alongside this I work in the Building Research Energy Group, assisting students & researchers looking into better ways to conserve and manage energy within buildings.
I left Shepshed College in 1983, worked as a window cleaner, industrial cleaner & then a Potter until starting at Loughborough University in 1988 as a cleaner handyman. Since then I have gained a City & Guilds in plumbing and worked as a junior Technician and then into a more senior technical role.
