Information for employers
As a top 10 university for the 10th year running according to The Complete University Guide, Loughborough University is proud to include degree apprenticeships within its academic offering, as we recognise the unique purpose they serve for students that might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in higher education, and for employers who want to see the potential of their employees realised via important upskilling.
We are proud to deliver three high-impact Level 7 apprenticeship programmes: Senior Leader, Systems Engineering, and Infrastructure Asset Management. These programmes have consistently received exceptional feedback from both our apprentices and our valued employer partners.
Following recent changes to government apprenticeship funding—specifically the new restrictions regarding Level 7 eligibility—we have made the strategic decision to close recruitment for our Senior Leader and Infrastructure Asset Management programmes, effective 1 January 2026.
Our Systems Engineering (Level 7) programme remains open for new enrolments; however, please note that this programme is no longer eligible for apprenticeship levy funding and will now move to a commercial, employer-funded model. We remain committed to supporting our current learners through to their successful completion and thank our partners for their continued collaboration.
