Local highlights and even more to enjoy

Whether you are coming along with a group of friends from university, bringing your family, or coming by yourself to reflect on your time at Loughborough, you may wish to explore the town or campus in your free time.

The programme has been designed so that you can choose what to get involved with and so that you can organise your free time to suit you.

Make the most of your visit

Town

In Loughborough town centre, there are always many changes and developments. You could walk in or catch the Sprint bus to have a look at the market (Saturdays) or see where you used to live.

Pubs

If you fancy an evening out for food or drinks, there are many places to choose from. The Baxter Gate development is home to several chain restaurants, whilst throughout the town there are many pubs serving food or just for drinks. Maybe you’ll even find the pub that you used to visit when you were at Loughborough! A lovely trip down memory lane.

Walks

There are many wonderful walking routes and places to visit in Loughborough and its surrounding areas. For instance, Beacon Hill and Bradgate Park are great options for a nice walk and a coffee, but if you fancy keeping it short and sweet and a bit nearer to campus, you could enjoy some fresh air in Queen’s Park.
