Loughborough remains in top ten of The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide for fifth year running
Loughborough University has maintained its top ten ranking for the fifth year running, securing seventh place in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021 and remains the top university in the Midlands.
The guide ranks universities on nine indicators – teaching quality, student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and degree completion rates.
In the 2021 guide Loughborough is ranked seventh out of 135 universities and is first in four subject tables: Building; Communication and Media Studies; Criminology; and Librarianship and Information Management. The only universities that rank top for more subjects than Loughborough are Cambridge and Oxford.
This success follows on from Loughborough being named The Times and Sunday Times University of the Year for a second time in the 2019 guide.
