  • Doctoral Researcher

Haotian is a doctoral researcher from a service design and industrial design background, now focusing on human-centred design and system design. Having studied his postgrad at Tsinghua University where he had service design methods working on medical adherence enhancement of chronical disease patients, he then grew strong interests in design in the healthcare sector. Haotian’s PhD involves studying the human-centred system design approach to enhance AI integration in the pathology field.

Title of thesis: AI Integration in Pathology Services: A Human Centered System Design Approach

Haotian's research aims to contribute to the theoretical and practical basis for the utilization of system design approaches in AI integration into the pathology field with a human-centered mindset, which is meant the application of a human-centered system framework, methods, and tools that would allow better outcomes of various AI solutions implementation in pathology services to enhance user experience and efficiency, and fill the gaps between lab developed AI algorithms and daily pathology workflows in the clinical environmen
