The Course

Student working in PV laboratory

Get excellence in education - wherever you are!

Our course was the first renewable energy MSc in in the world to be offered via distance learning. Since its creation in 2001, it has developed a global reputation for quality, and our part-time DL MSc students gain the same learning outcomes as our on-campus students, as accredited by IMechE, IET and the Energy Institute.

Continued investment into the programme's resources and delivery has ensured that our MSc remains at the forefront of innovative teaching and technological developments.

As one of our DL students you will benefit from the most advanced set of e-learning tools, including a portfolio of virtual learning laboratories and simulation software. You will carry out experiments that mirror their on-campus equivalents, including our unique ‘world first’ PV Remote Lab, which allows for distance learning students to access and control a real physical laboratory!

On completion of the DL MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology, you will become one of our highly skilled graduates, sought after by industry and well placed to take advantage of the opportunities available within the renewables sector.
