Loughborough University always values students’ feedback on their University experience. Over the past year, the university has undertaken various strategic actions and initiatives, reflecting its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in education.

The University actively engages in discussions with students and their peers, seeking insights into areas of commendation and potential areas for enhancement.

Below are some of the things we’ve recently changed in the Chemistry department as a result of your feedback:

  • Built a quiet wellbeing zone for students in STEMLab
  • Renewed the RSC accreditation for all Chemical Sciences programmes, including the recently introduced Chemistry with Computing programme
  • Introduced more maths support and pharmacokinetics content in module CM007
  • Introduced a ‘Welcome back’ event for returning placement students
  • Strengthened the social community by incorporating Natural Sciences with Chem Soc
  • Increased the Part C dissertation period from four to seven months in response to student feedback
