Robert graduated with BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1991 and worked as a Geophysicist and Instrumentation Engineer at the British Geological Survey until 1999. Robert moved to Loughborough University as IT Systems Manager for the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering before joining the UTC in 2019 as Commercial Research Officer.
Responsibilities for the UTC include:
• IT Security
• Linux system administration
• Data storage
• Data Acquisition Software and Hardware
• Provision of technical support for the Centre's training and research activities
• Developing and maintaining relationships with industrial contacts
