Several factors influenced my decision to choose Loughborough University through Clearing. Its strong reputation as a leading engineering school in the midlands and its excellent facilities were key factors, as they aligned perfectly with my academic goals. I was also impressed by the University's unique amenities, student accommodation and extensive campus, which made Loughborough feel vibrant and appealing. The lively social scene and diverse range of societies, offering regular and exciting events, also played a significant role in my decision.

When I arrived at Loughborough, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly culture made it feel like my second home right away. Joining the committee of Loughborough’s Islamic Society expanded my network and introduced me to new responsibilities, such as contributing to event planning and participating in fundraising activities. These efforts helped bring Fresher's students together and quickly created a sense of belonging and comfort within the University.

The aspect I enjoyed most about the Electrical and Electronics Engineering course was the team projects, where we could present high-quality work as a group while also showcasing our individual strengths to benefit the team. I appreciated that the project briefs were broad, as it was a clever way for lecturers to test our creativity and ability to solve industry relevant problems.

I had the opportunity to experience unique facilities and activities I had never encountered before, including 3D printing and designing a circuit for a coffee machine. Every lab session felt different, as they were based on real-life problems, making the lectures even more engaging. This hands on learning approach also helped strengthen the bond with other students on the course, as we collaborated to solve these challenges.

The support and facilities at Loughborough are exceptional especially in the engineering department. The resources available are of the highest quality, significantly enhancing the overall learning experience.
