For someone who is considering this course, if it is something you are passionate about you will really enjoy it. It can be challenging at times but it’s equally rewarding, and I’d recommend it to anyone considering a career in engineering or technology. My advice is to use all resources made available to you because it will make your studies more manageable.
The atmosphere on campus is really social. There are many places to play many different sports in a casual setting. If you want to get involved with sports on a more competitive level this is also available. There are many different societies on campus that students can join. In fresher’s week you will get a chance to find out more about these and talk with the people who run the societies. This is a great way to get involved and meet new people on campus. You can also go out with your friends to the Student’s Union which is located on the campus which lots of students enjoy doing. I’m currently a student ambassador for the aeronautical and automotive department which means that I get to interact with many prospective students and their parents in the form of open days and campus tours.
My favourite thing about being a student at Loughborough is the people that I’ve met whilst studying and the experiences that I’ve had along the way.
