International Foundation Programme at Loughborough

Our International Foundation Programme (IFP) offers high-calibre international students the opportunity to gain guaranteed progression on to many of our Loughborough University undergraduate degree courses. It is integrated programme designed for students who have successfully completed 12 years of school education and need an extra year of study before beginning their university studies in the UK.

The IFP is a bespoke foundation programme run internally by the University and taught by Loughborough University staff.

Combining subject-relevant modules with modules in academic and English language, it offers progression on to a wide range of degree courses covering business and economics, science, engineering, psychology, sport science, social science, humanities and design technology.

The programme is fully aligned with Loughborough University degrees.

Among the great features our IFP offers are:

  • Great success rates

  • Funding for your studies
25% merit scholarships available (when graduating from the IFP to your chosen course)
  • Loughborough living
