Loughborough University has helped me to become an independent researcher and enabled me to make my transition from sports biomechanics to public health research.

I am now working as a full-time research associate in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough, undertaking research into the impact of a lifestyle health behaviour intervention in HGV drivers (the SHIFT study) funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

In the future I plan to become a research leader in health promotion for at-risk populations.
