Before coming to Loughborough to start my master’s in digital media and society, I worked in public relations (PR) – amassing seven years’ experience with some international brands. I wanted to deepen my understanding of how UK and US companies run media campaigns and how audiences respond. The programme at Loughborough offered exactly the resources and insights I was looking for.

I enjoyed my course and the Researching Communication modules were especially valuable. They introduced me to both qualitative and quantitative research methods – such as interviews and online surveys – which I still use today in my media work.

The study rooms across campus and in the library are very convenient. I often used them to review lecture slides before classes. This made me feel better prepared – ready to engage with my tutors and the work we were going to cover.
