The main reason I chose to study at Loughborough was I found that the University has a very high level of student satisfaction, and the course curriculum was of great interest to me. I wanted to have a more enriching experience during my year abroad and Loughborough University fitted my expectations very well.

This one-year journey allowed me to build friendships with people from all over the world. Through various modules and projects, I learned how to collaborate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds as well as how to create an open and inclusive work environment.

I am truly grateful for the unforgettable experience of studying in MA Theatre/Storytelling at Loughborough University with such supportive and knowledgeable professors and wonderful classmates.

The language courses offered by the school was very helpful. They helped me quickly adapt to the local language and culture when I first arrived, easing the discomfort caused by linguistic and cultural differences. The regular one-on-one tutoring sessions provided targeted support for the specific challenges I encountered throughout my learning process. In addition, the extensive collection of resources in the library has been immensely helpful for both my studies and research.

I've been on a placement as photographer in fruits route project. Through this placement, I've learnt how to communicate with artists effectively and how to use my skills to fit artist's need, so that we can contribute the project together. Additionally, I've also learned art activity events can be organized, which has been immensely helpful for my future work.

In my free time, I joined the drama society, which provided me with a truly fantastic and enriching experience. There, I met my best friends at school, and together we created many wonderful memories.

To me, what the course provided was not only knowledge, but also practical abilities, which are crucial for my future career. Now that I have returned to China and work as a stage manager in Shanghai, I still constantly draw inspiration from what I learned there, which continues to positively influence my work.

If you wish to acquire knowledge through engaging and creative courses, if you value the integration of theory and practice, and if you hope to freely explore topics of your interest in the field of theatre/storytelling while receiving professional and patient guidance from professors, then choose this programme and enjoy your learning journey!
