Gain valuable experience of work

All our undergraduate courses offer the option to experience a year in industry. Every year, record numbers of employers recruit our students for placements, internships and work experience. They tell us they are impressed by the calibre of our students, saying they have wide-ranging skills, adaptability and determination to succeed.

Secure inspiring employment on graduation

Our graduate-level employment outcomes are consistently above the national average because we pay just as much attention to your future potential as we do to your student experience. The opportunities and support we provide can help you to achieve your career best.

Connect with leading employers

We have excellent links with many high-profile employers as well as an ever-increasing number of smaller and medium-sized organisations who value our students. Many of them are involved in the design and delivery of our degree programmes, ensuring we provide the right training and skills to make you career ready. Alongside the quality of our academic programmes, they say they like the range of extracurricular activities students engage in – broadening their experience and skills set even further.

Attend our leading employer events

As well as the largest university careers fairs in the UK, we hold sector-specific events. At these, employers and Loughborough alumni help our students make valuable connections and secure high-quality placements and graduate roles.

Work while you study

There are many benefits to working part-time while you study. It can help you to earn an extra income, enhance your CV, experience different job sectors and network with employers. We have a number of flexible opportunities for part-time work on campus, incuding in the Students' Union or as one of our Student Ambassadors. You could also consider working in the town or further afield. Regardless of where you decide to secure part-time work, we're here to support you – if you need it.

Achieve your personal best

Being a student is about so much more than the few years you’ll spend here with us. We want you to move on with the skills, confidence and capability needed for a rewarding career. Built into every degree course is our unique development programme Personal Best. Providing a comprehensive development framework, it ensures you hone the key skills and competencies for life as a graduate.
