Student Enterprise and Operations Associate

 

MEng (Hons) Materials Engineering, Member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS).

As part of the Student Enterprise Team Owen supports students and graduates in developing entrepreneurial skills and starting/continuing their entrepreneurial journeys. He contributes to providing a range of networking events, workshops, competitions, advice sessions and funding to help enable entrepreneurs to grow and succeed. Students and graduates are given the tools to develop their ideas, launch their business and access to a network of likeminded people to support them.

With a background in entrepreneurship and engineering, Owen’s specific focuses are increasing engagement within the Engineering schools and halls of residence on campus, whilst supporting with the other opportunities on offer.

Graduating with a Master’s in 2024 Owen joined LUinc. (Loughborough University Incubator) where he launched and worked on his own compostable plastic processing business for a year. In the summer of 2025, Owen joined Careers Network to help other students with their entrepreneurial journeys whilst continuing to work on his business on the side.
