Welcome to Falkner Eggington

Named after Harold Everett Falkner, founder and former head of Aeronautical Engineering. Also Alfred Thomas Eggington, awarded the Military Cross in 1916, former headmaster of Loughborough College. Falkner Eggington is our largest self-catered hall on campus. With a unique mix of ages and cultures the hall is known for its community spirit and lively atmosphere.

Hall Chair

MUST LIVE IN HALLS AND BE A PREVIOUS MEMBER OF COMMITTEE - The hall chair runs weekly committee meeting. They oversee all areas of committee including delegating tasks and work in partnership with each section. They should network with the rest of the university for the benefit of the hall, attend Hall Student Federation meetings (including meetings with the university Senior Leadership Board) and work alongside the Warden in operations regarding the hall. They will be responsible for Writing their Hall Portfolio for the Hall of the Year Award.

Georgia Baker-Stimson

There’s only one choice! Vote Georgia because I bleed falk egg 🦅

Social Secretary

Responsible for planning and delivering social events that enhance the Hall experience. Key duties include planning and coordinating the Winter and Summer Balls, attending Social Secretary meetings and sharing relevant updates with the Hall Committee, working closely with Warden to complete required paperwork, leading the organisation of Welcome Week and Refreshers, and organising Hall Day celebrations.

Cerys Thomas

CERYS FOR SOCIAL SEC! 👏

As a potential future social sec, I promise more daytime socials working for most people's timetables. (As an art student I also hope to provide more artsy events.)

I'll take on board any feedback about events and strive to provide something for everyone. 

Always feel free to say hi if you see me walking around campus, usually in the art building or The Holt ( #connections with another hall, the perks of being friends with their social sec 🙏).

Sports Secretary

(2 positions available) Oversees Hall sports participation and ensures representation in Intramural Sports (IMS) competitions. Key duties include maintaining Hall sporting equipment, attending Sport Secretary meetings and staying informed on sporting matters, organising fair trials and practices for IMS teams, selecting team captains and supporting team selections, promoting sports participation at all levels, from IMS to recreational activities, submitting IMS fixture results on time, and coordinating with Media Representatives for fixture coverage.

Mo Israel-Oludiya

As sports sec, I will be sure to encourage many people to join ODEs and any other Falk Egg sporting events not only to ensure that we will win overall, but also so that everyone, at any ability, can have fun. Furthermore, any sports teams that I lead will be coached to a high standard for IMS fixtures, and along with that, social events will be held for some team-bonding downtime.

Riya Narwan

If elected as Female Sports Secretary, I will work to strengthen hall sport by improving organisation, visibility and participation. I aim to ensure our hall is consistently and proudly represented in all IMS fixtures by supporting teams, improving communication and encouraging greater engagement across hall members.

I will actively promote hall sports through clear communication and social media, increasing turnout at matches and ensuring ODEs are well supported with both players and spectators. I will also work to ensure every ODE has a sports representative, helping information flow efficiently and making opportunities easy to access.

Beyond competitive sport, I will promote the full range of Loughborough Sport opportunities, including MyLifestyle and social sport, so everyone feels encouraged to get involved regardless of ability or experience. I will also support the effective booking and use of sports facilities to ensure training sessions run smoothly and fairly. Overall, I aim to create a supportive, inclusive and enthusiastic hall sporting environment.

Owen Doolan

I’m running for Sport Secretary because I have a passion for sports and what brings to Falk Egg.


Sport is more than competition. It is discipline, teamwork and inclusivity. It is where confidence is built and new friendships made. My mission is to make sports inclusive, competitive, and inspiring for everyone!

Media & Stash Representative

Social media manager of the hall. Designs a range of templates, stash and content for the hall. Takes photographs of events and report the outcome. Attends Media & Stash meetings

Societies Representative

Responsible for organise and run events within Hall collaboratively with societies. Key duties include: promoting societies events to Hall members, supporting at Winterfest and the Activities Bazaar, signposting Hall members to relevant societies of interest within LSU and attending Societies training and meetings.

Alice Bird

If I am elected, I would like to hold monthly collabs with a variety of societies so that hall residents get a taster of new activities and experiences that they can get involved in. I want to push the social and emotional benefit of societies for individuals due to the nature of university life. I am happy to take requests from residents on what they would like from me also!

Rag Representative

Responsible for coordinating fundraising activities within the Hall and engaging students in LSU RAG events. Key duties include encouraging maximum Hall engagement in RAG initiatives, planning and delivering hall-specific RAG events, attending RAG meetings and ensuring timely submission of funds raised to the RAG Office.

Zak Griffiths-King

As the RAG representative for Falk Egg, I will be committed to organising a year of fun and impactful fundraising events for the hall. I will highlight the local charities supported by the university so that we benefit the local communities of Loughborough. I plan to create a varied calendar of events so that there is something for everyone to get involved with, and I will coordinate volunteer teams, making opportunities more accessible for the hall. For people who want to plan their own fundraisers, I will work to make sure their events are promoted clearly to help support their targets even further.

Action Representative

Promotes volunteering opportunities within the Hall and supports student engagement in community initiatives. Key duties include attending Action Hall Representative meetings, recruiting and supporting Hall volunteers, and collaborating with Media Reps to publicise Action events.

Evelyn Brown

I would aim to increase the outreach of the Action programme into the Loughborough community by trying to find new opportunities for volunteering. My main intention would be to end the war between RAG and action by proposing a pub golf social collab.

AAIR Representative

Supports the engagement and inclusion of alumni, affiliate, international, and returning students within the Hall community. Key responsibilities include: organising events and initiatives tailored to AAIR members; promote inclusivity and integration within the Hall; providing support and signposting relevant University and LSU services; act as a liaison between AAIR students and the Hall Committee; attend relevant meetings such as the AAIR Rep Support Community to ensure AAIR students’ voices are heard.

Ruby Newton

Help returners, freshers, and international students with whatever is needed by me. I plan on helping in freshers with other committee memebers.

Welfare & Diversity Representative

Supports the wellbeing and inclusion of Hall members. Key duties include signposting students to relevant University and LSU welfare services, promoting University, LSU, and Hall welfare and diversity campaigns, ensuring equal representation and inclusivity for all students, attending Welfare & Diversity Rep section meetings, and planning and delivering Welfare activities.

Libby Cole

I will try to make more frequent and engaging welfare socials year-round, hopefully increasing involvement in the events by providing things for everyone's interests. I'll be a friendly face around Falk Egg for anyone who needs support in their time at uni.

Enterprise Representative

Responsible for promoting and signposting hall members to Loughborough enterprise network events and workshops, building volunteer teams of hall members for LEN and organising hall events that promote entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial skills.

Yasin Shek

If elected as Enterprise Representative, my goal will be to make enterprise opportunities more accessible, practical and engaging for everyone in hall.

I will actively promote Loughborough Enterprise Network events and competitions, ensuring members are aware of workshops, funding opportunities and skills sessions that can genuinely enhance employability.
I will try my best to find engaging and interesting events or workshops for our students. If i become the enterprise representative I'm planning to collaborate with a variety of companies and challenges that provide students the opportunity to show their skills while enjoying themselves.
These events will aim to encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

Additionally, I will build volunteer teams to represent our hall in Enterprise competitions, increasing participation and visibility.
My focus will be on one thing only — creating opportunities that are realistic, well-organised and genuinely beneficial to hall members.
