BA (Hons) Product Design, MA Design, Strategy and Innovation, PG Cert Teaching in Higher Education, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Associate Organisational Member of the Association for Coaching (AOMAC), Member of the Graduate Futures Institute.
B provides 1:1 and group coaching to help students achieve academic success, working with them to increase their motivation and reach their full potential. Through in-person and virtual delivery, B researches and delivers on a range of skills, including time management, organisation, prioritisation, procrastination and perfectionism, work/life/study balance, study planning, routine setting and presentation skills. B also leads on Personal Best and having been part of Personal Best from its infancy, developing frameworks, resources and the bespoke app, she is responsible for the embedding of Personal Best in academic schools.
B has worked in Higher Education since 2002, and at Loughborough University since 2013. With an MA in Design, Strategy and Innovation, experience from design consultancies and from running her own business, Birgit has contributed to, and managed, several large multi-faceted projects and initiatives to support students’ skills development at Loughborough University. She has a strong interest in employability and reflection, and with creative and project management skills, enjoys working in partnership with colleagues across the University to promote and embed reflection, skills and career development.
