World Environment Day: Caring for our Earth. A Roundtable Conversation.

Join Chaplaincy on World Environment Day Thursday 5 June 12.30pm-2pm for a roundtable conversation with Rich Fenn-Griffin (Assistant Gardens Manager and Biodiversity Lead), Safra Razeek (Muslim Chaplain), Jesse Prevatt (LSU Landscaping and Gardening Society) and Nilesh Shukla (Hindu Chaplain).

World Environment Day is the United Nations’ Day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment.  The theme for 2025 focuses on ending plastic pollution globally. Our roundtable will explore the University’s strategic theme of climate change and net zero, including how we might contribute towards it in practice, and the barriers to participation we need to overcome.

The discussions will be led by Loughborough staff and students, informed by faith perspectives and other sources of wisdom. The aim of the panel is to raise awareness of different perspectives and increase engagement with caring for the environment as a common goal.

The event will be held from 12.30pm-2pm in EHB217 (the InnerSpace).

All members of the Loughborough community are encouraged to attend.
