Emma Bishop Pronouns: She/her BA(Hons) Knitwear Design and ILM Level 3 in Coaching & Mentoring

Student Enterprise Manager

Responsibilities

Emma's role is to lead the Loughborough Enterprise Network team, which sits in the Careers Network, to support students and graduates in developing entrepreneurial skills. Through a range of networking events, workshops, courses, competitions, advice sessions and funding, students and graduates are given the tools to develop their ideas and launch their business.

Emma joined Careers Network as Student Enterprise Manager in December 2022. Having spent the previous 8 years at Loughborough Students’ Union as Enterprise and Engagement Manager moving to Student Communities Manager. She graduated with a BA Hons in fashion textiles at Nottingham Trent University going on to design and supply high street chains with womenswear. Before moving to LSU, Emma became Design Director for a start-up company supplying spas globally with textiles and spa wear for therapists. Now as Student Enterprise Manager, she is passionate around supporting students to develop entrepreneurial skills and bring their start-up ideas to life.

Hayley Jones Pronouns: She/her BA Geography and Sports Management

Student Enterprise Co-ordinator (London Campus)

Responsibilities

Hayley is part of the Loughborough Enterprise Network team which supports our students and graduates to start their own businesses or learn entrepreneurial skills. 

Having joined Careers Network in 2019, Hayley is currently responsible for a coordinating the enterprise and business support for our students and graduates. This includes equipping aspiring and current entrepreneurs with skills, knowledge, funding and access to networks, all to build successful and sustainable businesses. 

The ability to support students and young start-ups motivates her as she wants to make a difference empowering and shaping the next generation of Loughborough entrepreneurs. Hayley is based on our vibrant London campus and.co-leads exciting projects such as www.venturecrawl.co.uk. Hayley is a qualified coach (ILM) and graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) in Geography and Sports Management. 

Sophie Flight Pronouns: She/her

Responsibilities

Sophie is part of the Loughborough Enterprise Network team which supports our students and graduates to start their own businesses or learn entrepreneurial skills.  She is responsible for a range of activities supporting students with skills, knowledge, funding, and access to networks, all to build successful and sustainable businesses. A few examples of Sophie’s responsibilities include:

  • Our social media and comms, keeping the vibrant community connected
  • Workshop design and delivery
  • Supporting business ideas in Business and Enterprise coaching
  • Supporting the Talent Match Enterprise stream

Sophie is a true advocate of enterprise and start-ups. She has supported the development of Start-up Businesses and Enterprise in Higher Education and has an extensive background in projects and careers advice across 2 universities.

Beth Underdown Pronouns: She/her BSc (Hons) Management Sciences

Enterprise & Opportunities Officer

Responsibilities

Beth is part of the Loughborough Enterprise Network team which supports our students and graduates to start their own businesses or develop entrepreneurial skills. 

She assists in the development and delivery of entrepreneurial programmes, offering opportunities for students to grow the skills and knowledge needed to run a business or be self-employed.

A Loughborough graduate herself, Beth joined Careers Network in 2021, bringing with her experiences gained during her Business and Economics degree in Management Sciences and previous work experience, including setting up her own business.
