Clean sport at university: Opportunities for education and research
UK Anti-Doping’s (UKAD) Clean Sport Week 2022 - 23-27 May 2022 - is dedicated to increasing awareness and championing of clean sport, education and anti-doping initiatives within the UK.
UKAD has established an office at SportPark on Loughborough’s Midlands campus and announced last year that the UKAD headquarters will be based on this site. This initiative has allowed Loughborough-based researchers to engage with the interests and priorities of UKAD and their stakeholders. As part of this partnership, Loughborough University will host UKAD for an in-person seminar during Clean Sport Week 2022.
The seminar on “Clean Sport at University: Opportunities for Education and Research”, hosted by Dr Liam Heaney, will explain the variety of clean sport education initiatives that are currently available for students, academic staff, and university sport practitioners. It shall also address how UKAD is seeking to stimulate future research that addresses key priorities.
As part of the collaboration between Loughborough and UKAD, we are actively seeking to understand the extent to which anti-doping knowledge and material is being used for education purposes across our Loughborough and London Campus. If you are a member of staff who delivers such content (in any capacity/focus), you are invited to complete a short questionnaire to provide further details about this. This can be accessed at the following link.
