Public lecture: Can exercise help fight cancer?

Presented By Dr Fehmidah Munir

Dr Fehmidah Munir, Reader in Health Psychology at Loughborough University will discuss the most influential studies in this area.

The lecture will explore which cancers have been linked to physical inactivity and how exercise helps to reduce the risk.

Being physically inactive or leading a sedentary lifestyle may increase the risk of developing some cancers such as breast and colon cancer. Being physically active may not only help prevent the risk of these cancers but can also help with recovery when undergoing treatment.
