Atish obtained a BSc Hons in Biological Sciences from Nottingham Trent University in 2012. Atish went on to complete a MSc in Environmental Monitoring and Management in 2013 and obtained his PhD in Freshwater Biology in 2018 at Loughborough University. In 2017, he joined The University of Northampton as a Teaching Laboratory Manager and progressed to Senior Lecturer in Biological and Environmental Sciences by 2022.
He joined Loughborough University in 2022 as a University Teacher in Science (Biology). Atish is module leader of biology modules on the Foundation Year programme. Atish is also the Pastoral Leader for the foundation programme.
In 2025, Atish was appointed as Associate Dean for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for the School of Science.
