Background
Dr Chukwuma Ogbonnaya obtained PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2022 from the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MACE), The University of Manchester, United Kingdom. From his PhD research, he published 10 articles in reputable international journals, presented 2 conference papers and 4 seminar presentations. These earned him two awards including MACE PGR Student of the Year 2021/2022 and Best Outputs 2021/2022.
He was a Graduate Teaching Assistant in MACE from 2018 to 2021. He obtained Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Warwick Manufacturing Group, The University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He also obtained Bachelors in Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2005 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoko in 2011.
Before joining Loughborough University in February 2022, he was a Lecturer II in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo Nigeria since September 2016. He has 5 years’ experience in banking and finance at Fidelity Bank Plc, Nigeria before starting his academic career. He is a registered Engineer with COREN and a member of esteemed professional bodies such The Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Senior Fellow, AdvanceHE (SFHEA) and member of The Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE). He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow of The Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (FIMC). He was a Petroleum Technology Development Fund Nigeria PhD Scholar and Ebonyi State Overseas Masters Scholar.
