Plenary speakers, Day 1
We are delighted to confirm that our plenary speakers on the first day will be Mike Wilson from MTC and Brett Friskney from the Frazer-Nash Consultancy.
Mike Wilson
Mike Wilson is recognised as a leading authority on the application of industrial robot systems in the UK. Mike is Chief Automation Officer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre and a Director of the Manufacturing Technologies Association. He was awarded ‘The Manufacturer Top 100’ status as one of the top 100 people in UK manufacturing in 2018. His book “Implementation of Robot Systems” was published in 2014.
Dr Brett Friskney, Frazer-Nash Consultancy
Dr. Brett Friskney PhD MEng(Hons) AMIMechE - Senior Engineer at Frazer-Nash Consultancy
Brett completed his PhD in 2022 in the Dynamics Research Group in the Wolfson School, supervised by Prof. Stephanos Theodossiades and Dr. Mahdi Mohammad-pour. Brett's research, sponsored by Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team, focused on improving understanding of rolling bearing failures in high-performance gear transmissions by combining complex system dynamics.
Having spent time solving powertrain engineering challenges in the EV industry, Brett now works in engineering consultancy for Frazer-Nash, a multi-disciplinary organisation specialising in systems and technology challenges across sectors.
