International Centre
of Excellence on Informatics and Disaster Resilience (ICEIDR)

ICEIDR, serves as a globally recognised hub for advancing transdisciplinary disaster risk reduction (DRR) through cutting-edge informatics, digital innovation, international collaboration, and capacity development. Aligned with the mission of the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) programme, ICEIDR seeks to accelerate the generation, integration, and application of knowledge that enhances the understanding, assessment, communication, and management of disaster risks, thereby contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the strengthening of societal resilience worldwide. ICEIDR provides a unique platform within the IRDR network for harnessing advances in informatics, including AI, data science, digital twins, Earth observation, and high-performance computing, to address increasingly complex and systemic disaster risks and to accelerate the translation of scientific knowledge into practical resilience solutions.
